Five years ago synthetics had approx .03% of the market. Today it's approx 1%. By comparison, Europe is at approx 33%. Since 1972 Amsoil has recommended 25,000 miles or 1 year oil drain intervals. The oil companies still want you to change your oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles. (By the way, if you're using petroleum, that's a good idea.) By comparison, the three major European auto manufactures are saying 18,000 miles and are moving towards 30,000 mile drain intervals when using synthetic. These same manufactures are installing synthetic lubricants as a factory fill. We tend to lag behind Europe in many ways. Our companies tend to be profit driven, while European companies are profit driven, they are also driven by economic and environmental concerns. Today is a great time to be marketing synthetic lubricants, especially Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants. It's great when you are the undisputed leader and innovator in the field. Now is a great time to become an Independent Amsoil Dealer.
